Young Again

When did I start to feel old?  Maybe it was when college students started looking like babies. Or when I needed Spanx to hold everything in and up where it used to be.  Maybe it was when guys my age started growing hair where none should be and losing it where it ought to be.  Or possibly when I started to complain about those little aches and pains to my doctor, and he said "well, you are getting to that age...".  Could it be when I had been out of school a lot longer than I ever was in it?  When my young daughter is closer in age to any of the hot young things in Hollywood than I am?  No, I don't think so.  I definitely started feeling old when I realized that the music from my formative years is now labeled as "classic."  And I'm not the only one feeling it.  My friend R asked me to come up with a playlist for this summer that would keep her youngsters rockin' and that wouldn't incline her towards suicide when played over and over.  Thank goodness we are past The Wiggles is all I have to say.  Here is a mix that does the trick.  Most of the songs are new, but the feelings invoked will take you back to your childhood, through your teen angst, up to your mid-life crisis and back again.  Enjoy!
